Kelvin & Laura's Big Day

Woke up early... Feeling half dead... Lucky I had packed and arranged everything the night before.

The 4-colour drink shot turned out to be quite nice... exactly what Laura and I have envisioned.

My red bean popsicle is a success too. Sold all off. Haha...

Suffering from a bit of headache at the moment... result from no rest today. Ok..Time to zzz

and there is the 5-day birthday celebration

I guess not many people can say that they celebrate their birthday for 5 days. I think I been increasing my birthday celebration each year. This year - 5 days. Sweat...Starting with the bbq at Chen's place. Meant to be a surprise but failed. Hohoho... Just happen that I am super active checking out my facebook that day. Chen made meesua.... Touched! Super yummy de meesua plus the hard boiled egg specially peeled by Elaine~

Day 2 is on Thursday night at ...Tiger Room (i think) at New Tanjong Seafood. Great food again. Ahh... my favourite prawns~ The cannot-taste-any-herb-just butter fried herbal squid~On the same night, 4 kilos of crabs were massacred in four flavours - dry butter, wet butter, black pepper and the original steamed. Since the wet butter is so darn nice, we finished off with a plate of wet butter prawns.... cholesterol to the max!
Next day next day... had a rather light lunch - Sushi King. Haha... The thing is that I discovered that I dun really want to go all crazy on the sushi-on-the-belt cause kind of expensive and I keep remembering that i had those for rm2 each on the Sushi Bonanza... Urgh..When is that going to happen again? I want to go all out on the sushi again.... T.T just for the record, the plates are of the consumption of 4 people, not me alone. I am not that glutton.

Final day....actually it was to finish the leftover food from the bbq on day 1. Hehe... the meat is super marinated. Super flavoured.

Pretty Pretty~

Last night, I took out all of my makeup stuff...and laid them on the living room's coffee table. Not sure how would i proceed with the makeup or the hair, I just decided to go with the flow. Hehe... It has been a while since I have put on full makeup and I don't have much experience putting on makeup on other people....

I did the makeup on A-Ning..and also the hair. Gosh... I had so much pins put into her hair. Worried it might fall off before the night ends. Hehe...

This morning... ChaiMF's wedding.

Pics tells a thousand stories. She doesnt want her face to be shown...so instead, you get to see her headpiece, hands, arms and feet. :D I just love the pic of her shoulder. Do you?

After Irene mentioned to me about New Moon, I suddenly decided to check out when it will be released....It's on my birthday!!! I want to watch it on my birthday!!!

Last night, I went to Opi De Beaute's 10th Anniversary Masquerade Night. Err... My brain is not functioning at the moment...so cant seems to think of what to say. And so... The pics are with Jac, Jessy and Kelly....

Jac and I 'langgar' purse. Before the dinner, we talked about what we will use as purse and didnt realise that we were talking about the same type of purse. Hers is black and mine is purple... :D

BBQ Session

Deepavali is celebration for Festival of Lights, if I remember correctly. The office people (not all but just almost half of us) went to Taman Selera to have BBQ.

Somehow, this is always the case during BBQ... To starve ourselves first before the BBQ officially begins. By starving ourselves, I meant that we skipped breakfast. So..when the sandwich arrived, all of us ate sandwich first.
So...anyways, introducing our raw food...well, part of the BBQ food. Thanks to Carol for adding some delicious satays to our menu...and also thanks to Uncle Chua for the langsats and fresh prawns (not in picture).
And then... the food on the grill. The arrangement of the food on the grill looks so nice... everyone is so pro~
The finished product... As you can see, we are not entirely carnivorous that day. We also have some veggies, that are french beans and mushrooms. Oh wait! We also have marshmallows~~So happy to see that the pork that I marinated is such a good demand...
Know what is the most annoying thing that can happen if one go to beach to BBQ? Sandflies bites. Introducing the insect repellant. But I still suffer from it... Just one bite. Well, I think it is sandfly's bite. Not so sure. :p Also from ant bite. Darn...

Later of the BBQ session, we tried to take a group photo. But... it was kind of disasterous because number one - not everyone who attended the BBQ are in the pic and number two - the photographer is very lousy. We ended up with these shots...
Err... I have no comment.

When One is Sick

One can be so blur.

I went to pump petrol after I went to consult doctor about my flu. When the pump meter almost reaching RM50, it stopped. I was like 'what the heck is wrong with this pump?' At that moment...

Pump Attendant : Miss, sudah penuh o.
Me : Apa? Har... Macam mana? Oh no~
Pump Attendant : Tak apa. Saya cuba.

Thanks goodness for the existence of the pump detector (for detecting that my car tank is almost full) and for the existence of pump attendant (for helping me to pump in RM50 worth of fuel). I didnt realise that my fuel tank still has one bracket left. Usually I pump RM50 when the tank is almost empty. Blur...

Another thing - Usually the car fuel tank meter goes up slow and steady after I pump petrol. That day... it went up in less than a second. Haha...

I finally reached my goal of 1000 messages. The proof.

It now has more than that...

Ah~ Usually CMF's birthday is celebrated in a rush manner... We dont have time to celebrate in a leisurely manner because it is the busiest time. This time... we went to makan lor. Gossip-ing. I would be lying if I said we weren't gossip-ing. it is women's natural to gossip. :p

Dad brought Mum and I to this place at Krokop 5 to eat dinner... on the day I took my sick leave. Mum made the order...and she ordered the unusual combination of veggie. Unusual because we dont usually order those. I have no idea how to say it. But... the food is nice and cheap. Main point. CHEAP and NICE.

On the 1st... our office had a really long electricity blackout. From about 3pm to 5pm, I think. I went upstairs to hang out. Hehe... What to do when you have nothing to do? We took pictures. Just two pictures la.... Seriously only two pictures.

I resized the above picture to a smaller than my usual size because... I am in my aunt hairstyle and Lolabunny's hair is a bit messy. Dont want you guys to zoom in to see.... Hehe..

I am ridiculous. I know.

I am contemplating between having my hair straighten or curled... Please advise...Somehow, I have a feeling I might go for straight look again...with fringe.

Happy Chinese New Year

Ah! It is time of the year again. It is Chinese New Year again!

Oh ya! I suddenly remember something I can blog about. Hold on...ok, taken pictures. Shall blog about it in the future. Hehe... Wait! Maybe not. Might as well blurt it out now. I currently has 7 bruises on my right arm and both legs. I have no idea how I got them though. The end. :p


And so, this year the new year eve's dinner is held at Lynns'. Erm... bad lighting. I just haven't gotten to the point of learning how to properly handle my handphone's camera. :p
I thought that we will probably eat, talk and then say good bye. But this year, we have something different. Before the makan, we were playing the homemade Taboo cards and also Monopoly. Err... a bit weird but it is good fun. Then, because the homemade Taboo becomes too easy, Yuanz sponsored to buy a Taboo set and so... I was appointed as the chauffeur. Drove to Bintang Megamall (errmmhmmm... Megamall. Hehe...), bought Taboo, drove back to lynns and start the game.
It was fun... Not sure when can we play again. Yuanz mentioned that he will take the game back to Brunei after Chinese New Year. Hmm...I am slow at this game btw.

First day was ok... Spent the afternoon lazing at home. Second day... open house. Erm... Ok lor... I must be getting old and lazy... I just want to laze around.

Ended 2008 with something different. Had steamboat with Laura and her family. Thank you again. Then, Laura, Kelvin and I killed the time with some gambling session. I know - we are all gambling addicts. Also washing our throats with some Bailey's.

At 10pm, we left the house to work. Yes, you read correctly. WORK. We had to do stock-take at a hotel. It was a lot of fun to be able to see what happen behind the closed door and after the scene. Interesting.

After that, we went to Citrus to re-join Laura's family for countdown. I ordered Crazy Monkey, which is a blend of banana and peanut butter. The taste is really nice, not too overpowering.

Finally, we watched a good 15 minutes show of fireworks coming out of Bintang Plaza's rooftop.

Back to Brunei again

25th December is a date of many meanings. Well... Actually I can only think of two annual events but this year, this date also holds another meaning - my dad's chinese birthday.

Mum and Yuanz want me to follow Dad to Brunei without telling Dad that we will be celebrating his birthday that night. Anyways... we had Excapade - seems that none of us can think of any where else we want to have dinner. Limited choice even though Dad and Yuanz are sick of this place. Haha...

Ok..another meaning of 25th December is the anniversary of my blog - the 4th Anniversary. That long. Gosh...

Then... of course, it is Christmas. Nothing special whatsoever. :p

Btw, my trip lasted me for 3 days 2 nights leaving me feeling totally out-dated - behind - slowed. Also, I have been reading the Twilight Saga and loving it. I just can't put down the book. In fact, I stayed up till 4.30am last night this morning to finish Book 2. Ah! The anguish and sadness that the heroine was feeling.

Another thing - I just watched Twilight the movie. I am just a bit disappointed because it is too condensed. It is a movie and you can't expect it to be exactly like in the book - otherwise, it will take way too long.

My extended holidays are almost over. Back to work again on Tuesday - a bit reluctant. I hope I can finish the saga before returning to work. Just so that I will not be too distracted. My English seems to be improving after reading two books. Haha...Seriously, I need to read more to improve my English or at least to do maintenance on my English.

The Curse Of The Ice Box

The time of the year came to us earlier this year. This year, we are at Rosita Cafe having buffet. As usual, it is all about the food. The theme of the buffet is Mexico something... Forgot.

Erm.. The management is lousy at preparing the table arrangement for us (even though we have specified how we wanted it) and also... the food... despite of the large variety, it lack of variation in the Mexican favour... somehow, it has more chinese than Mexican... :p Macam food expert la.

Anyways.... I think I am not suitable for buffet-eating anymore. My stomach can no longer occupy so much food... Or is it because the food is not tasty enough to influence my brain to think that I need to eat more because the food is SO tasty?

Final Working Saturday of 2008

People are usually very envious when I told them that I am working half of the year Saturdays and not working for the other half year Saturdays... I think they usually ignore the part of working on Saturdays and focus on the "not working" on Saturdays and then become envious...

Them: Eee... So nice one... Dont have to work on Saturdays...

Me: Erm.... Got... Got work on Saturdays. Half year got, half year no have nia ma... Same with other ppl la...

Anyways... Today is our office's final working Saturday for the year. So, to celebrate this, a bunch of us gathered at WZT Cafe to have breakfast together.

To tell you the truth, after eat till full full and then you see the pics of the food. It is so unappetising at all. But when hungry hungry, the food looks so nice~~

After work, went to Bintang Plaza to walk walk see see look look. Hmm... Didnt see any satisfactory casual smart jacket. Ah! Why am I even looking for one?

Hehe... It is because I am going to Seoul, Korea!! Mum have decided to bring me to go. Muahaha.... And so, I am planning to get a casual smart jacket to wear so that I can still wear it as office wear when I am in Miri.

I am back

I am actually "with internet" for the last few days. But I was...busy. Muahaha...

Been makan-ing. Last week, before the "internet-less" time, I went to eat at ... Escapade?No!... Err... Shiki! That's it. This took me about ten minutes to remember the name of the restaurant. Gosh... I miss Excapade. The sashimi at Shiki wasnt very fresh... Actually, I also ate udon but it looks not very appetising in pic so... no pic here.

Erm... Sherp, Veep and parents are in Miri...and Sherp has been my roomie for a few nights already. We had been makan-ing too. Yummy yummy....

There is also a morning when we (lynnwei, Sherp and I) went to Taman Selera to enjoy the sea breeze and view.

Ah... Have got to congrats Lynna for winning the tennis competition...and then also Abelle for her effort in the competition. And then, I just want to show this pic. 'Cause I think it looks really nice. Last but not least, Happy belated Birthday to Sherp!

Doggie show

First of all, I want to show what I had for lunch one fine day in the office. I woke up at an earlier time than usual and cooked it... I didnt follow the recipe prescribed on the packaging but used what I had to cook the Pad Thai noodles. So, I used egg, french bean (i think that's the name) and also crabstick. Fried it... and then add a bit of fried ikan bilis and roasted sesame seed. So, what do you think?
Then, there is one night that I tried out this Meiji Macha Choco tablet-thingy with LingDi. It is pretty good. The chocolate is really rich and bitter and it goes well with the sweetened Macha. Bought it in Brunei. It was on offer... I forgot how much exactly does it cost though.

Talking about Macha... Just now, went to Coffee Bean with LingDi and she ordered Ice-Blended Macha and the cashier guy corrected her "Ice Blended Mocha la" .... Ms LingDi has gotten so used to refer green tea as macha that she didnt realise that the drink served at Coffee Bean is called Ice Blended Green Tea not Ice Blended Macha... Paise... Paise... Err... I think this particular paragraph, only LingDi will understand it. Btw, Macha means Green Tea in japanese...

Ah! Went to this MiriCommunity.net's Pure Breed Dogs Contest this morning at Taman Bulatan. Actually, I am not even sure if I have the name correct. But anyways... I bet LingDi will be blogging about it so I lazy want to elaborate on it. Just want to show a few things...

Ah! Then I must show Scooby's pic also... 'Cause if I dont, ppl going to be jealous and scold me for putting only the Maltese pic. So, here's Scooby. The most popular comment that Scooby gets from people at the location is "So fat o!"
Then... before I left the place, I saw a very fierce 'challenge call' from a Rottweiler ( I think it is Rottweiler. Someone correct me if I am wrong). Basically this Rottweiler is barking fiercely at another Rottweiler. Damn fierce lor... I took a video of it..

Erm... Going to do some gardening now. Plant some plants. Yes, 'Plant Some Plants" you are reading... What is this girl, who doesnt do weeding, planting plants for? I bought four baby plants and a pack of seeds today...and also three pots... Total cost is RM23.50. Why? I just want to plant la, ok? And... Weeding is just not my thing lor. My poor fingers cant handle it. Blek..Kidding. I did some weeding last week. But my mood to do weeding is very short-lived so... Only did a small area... Ah! Joyous! Thanks to Dad who did the weeding this morning. The horrible plant crawlers outside the front yard is gone! Yea!!
