EGM

Somehow I think EGM is just not accurate. It is fast becoming an AGM.

Location of this EGM is Mega Hotel's Chatterbox...and seriously we were the chattering like it's no one's business. Chatterbox offers steamboat buffet for RM46 (?).

There are just probably eleven ready-cooked main dishes... The rest of the main dishes are for steamboat purposes. Eat eat eat... I dont think I ate a lot but man, I tell you...I was so full!!

You know how you have so many things to do and yet you still go and do something else that is not related to those things that you should be busy about. That's what I am doing now. I call this... Avoiding Reality.

Citrus has moved~

Citrus is moving has moved to a new location...

Last Sunday was the final day at the old location. We went to citrus to makan makan...

We ordered a few dishes to share....and I think I ordered the wrong pizza. Max-A-Lot. I don't remember it to be like that le. But the Greece Lightning is awesome! No regret on that. Hehe

Hmmm... Not full but not hungry either after eating a few pieces. I guess I will be if I finish the whole thing.

Today is a rainy day... I just ate my lunch and now getting sleepy. So... Ttyl

Lunch set~

Gonna do a bit of promoting for Silverspoon while trying to induce ppl to accompany me for lunch...

Silverspoon is going to start its lunch set!! 2 different lunch set for each weekday except for public holidays.

So... Who's going with me to try all the sets?

Hong Ngan Lo

It's a foochow dish. Beehoon cooked in red wine soup plus an egg.

I ate it this morning... Specially ask the guy not to put the Chinese celery but the chef still put it. I guess it is out of habit.

Felt quite nourished after that. Hehe

Craving

After three days of no dinners, I indulged on a bacon with cheese burger last night.

The no-dinner nights were initially unintentional. The restaurant was really busy and so I could probably only be able to eat at about 9pm. From past experience, I know I will burping non stop and tummy will be protesting if I eat at that time. So I skipped the meal completely and drank more water instead.

Last night I kept thinking of burgers that I couldn't resist the temptation of ordering one. Hehe...

It's super strong

Had kacangma at 88 Cafe last Saturday. It is super strong. I seriously felt a bit dizzy after finishing the whole bowl. If you need a boost to your body, go for this at 88 Cafe on Saturday.

Supper

A few days ago, I was feeling bloated...and true enough, my weight is at the high point... And I managed to inflate and feel good about myself.

There is a hazard to feeling good because this will means I am more than willing to indulge myself.

Last night was such occasion - Supper. Two rounds of supper. ^.^

Round 1 - Cha Sao Yu Mien from the shop next to A1... I feel bad for the shop because I cant remember it's name. Hehe... It's a bit disappointing because the chao sao is not fragrant enough.

Round 2 - Seahorse's fried chicken wings and Tiger beer (served in three different brands glasses). Again, food is disappointing... chicken wings too oily. The chili sauce is superb though. yum!

I woke up this morning feeling bloated again... Dun dare to weight myself..no need to weigh I also know I must be heavy again...  T.T

Garlic bread

Previously I experimented a few method on how to make garlic bread... after the experiments, someone told me of the other way to do it..the way how one certain restaurant in Miri does it...

Yesterday, I tried making it using that way...Btw, I have actually forgotten if it is the method I was told. Hehe.. Forgot to write it down for reference. Thankfully everything turns out ok. The garlic bread is much better than what I did before. Phew..

I still have half of the whole butter left. So... I guess I can make more if anyone wants any. :p

End of the month

Ohye... It is the end of the month le. Dah ambil gaji? I already spent most of mine. Yikes. No la, just kidding.

Anyways, I just satisfy another one of my many many cravings. Beef ribs.

It is a huge portion and I was so darn full after that. Add a bit of tabasco sauce to the beef before putting it in your mouth - it adds to the kick-ness of the beef. Then put in another mouth of beef with a dollop of mashed potatoes. Ahh... heaven~

Hehe... What's next on the craving list? Hmmm... Pork ribs? ;D

Power Breakfast

One fine lunch... I saw the sign at the already-closed-during-lunch-time stall.. It basically advertising the 'Mixed Pork Mee Sua cooked in Red Wine plus Egg'

I am super interested to try. :p

So, one early morning, I went to order it. Migosh... a lot of calories (i think) and very nutritious lo. Took me about half an hour to finish it. Because it is a soup dish...and it is hot so...I think I will order this again...without the egg.... if I ever going for an early breakfast or not in a hurry to go elsewhere after breakfast.

New resolution

I know I have been missing in action for a long long time.. time to restart..new resolution. I shall try to be more active. :p

Anyways... The poison of the night - Buah pinang aka betel nut. Ermm.. the pic is of the skin only la.. the nut already eaten. My first try of the nut. My tongue went numb from the bitterness and then it got really fun to chew at. I had difficulty swallowing it because of the dryness.

Will I try it again? Nope. Hahah...

and there is the 5-day birthday celebration

I guess not many people can say that they celebrate their birthday for 5 days. I think I been increasing my birthday celebration each year. This year - 5 days. Sweat...Starting with the bbq at Chen's place. Meant to be a surprise but failed. Hohoho... Just happen that I am super active checking out my facebook that day. Chen made meesua.... Touched! Super yummy de meesua plus the hard boiled egg specially peeled by Elaine~

Day 2 is on Thursday night at ...Tiger Room (i think) at New Tanjong Seafood. Great food again. Ahh... my favourite prawns~ The cannot-taste-any-herb-just butter fried herbal squid~On the same night, 4 kilos of crabs were massacred in four flavours - dry butter, wet butter, black pepper and the original steamed. Since the wet butter is so darn nice, we finished off with a plate of wet butter prawns.... cholesterol to the max!
Next day next day... had a rather light lunch - Sushi King. Haha... The thing is that I discovered that I dun really want to go all crazy on the sushi-on-the-belt cause kind of expensive and I keep remembering that i had those for rm2 each on the Sushi Bonanza... Urgh..When is that going to happen again? I want to go all out on the sushi again.... T.T just for the record, the plates are of the consumption of 4 people, not me alone. I am not that glutton.

Final day....actually it was to finish the leftover food from the bbq on day 1. Hehe... the meat is super marinated. Super flavoured.
I had my shake before sorting the pics and writing this post.... And.... I am sensing a lil stomach rumbling. Oh mien....

Weekend...

Weekend passed in a blur. In a way, I think I am quite busy but also quite free. Hehe... Went to kaypo when Laura went to choose her bridal dresses. Ah... So beautiful~
Then, I went to Curtin Open Day... Meriahnya~! Went to see see look look the two new (because I never gone there before) buildings. So nice!! Haha... Felt so 'sakai'.

Dinner was Hartz Chicken with the Lynns... The last time I went to eat Hartz Chicken was at Kuching and I was having headache and so, I only had one piece of chicken (i think). So not worth it. This time, I systematically ate 4 big pieces of chicken, 2 chicken wings and 1 small chicken drum plus side dishes. Hohoho... A lot o~

Not only that, on the same night, I went to Sam's house for bbq... Ate a few more pieces of pork. Oh... so yummy~~

Singapore & KL Trip 2010 aka Annual Pre-CNY Shopping Trip Part 2

And so, LS and I continued our shopping trip at KL... feeling so much lighter in our purses because of the Sing dollars that we have spent. Vomit blood.

Shopping in KL is pretty much the same as before...the food we ate is prob the one thing that we have changed a bit this time... After one night at JWei's place, since we arrived quite late at night, we decided not to waste hotel money and stayed at Jwei's place. After checked in to Cititel, we headed to Sungei Wang to get hair wash. Yes...hair wash. Well, actually we stopped by Hong Kong Food Culture for some tea time. The usual stuff. Fishballs...yummy... Then, to Times Square for hair wash 'cause we suddenly remembered that there is this hair salon there pretty good... We are so worn out from Singapore that we decided that we want to have a proper Chinese meal for dinner. We went to this Hakka Restaurant in The Gardens. The lotus root is really good. The other dishes are just ok ok... I have eaten better.

The second night, we had... TGIF...and then went to watch movie... hehe... We went to watch Tooth Fairy. Pretty funny... Meant to watch the local production "Woo Hoo" but didnt... Oh well...

Ls and I are not really fond of going to Sunway Pyramid for some unknown reason....It seems that sometimes we really cant find anything to buy there despite of the huge choices. It is just weird. But we still go there. We had our brunch at Dragon-i before starting our journey...Preserved veggie in the noodle soup is so refreshing. The xiao long baos are a disappointment. The ones at Ding Tai Fung are better. :p
We ended our shopping earlier than expected and so we went back to hotel to rest and then met up with a friend. And... we had Korean food as dinner. Oh..I am getting hungry looking at the kimchi jiggae. Darn...

Overall, this year trip is surprisingly exhausting. LS and I ran out of energy to shop when we are in KL... Singapore killed us. I am quite happy with what I bought...

Singapore & KL Trip 2010 aka Annual Pre-CNY Shopping Trip

It is unavoidable - LS and I have once again go on a shopping trip. This is time we have included Singapore into the itinerary and also a new travel companion to Singapore - let's call her D.We three stayed at this Aqueen Hotel at Balestier Road. It is still quite new and clean. The room is really small but we sort of expected that already. The shower toilet room is just a partition of glass... kind of see through... haha.. thank goodness, we are all girls. D's Singapore (not Singaporean) friend, SH, brought us around and taught us how to get to the nearest MRT - Tao Payoh...at the HDB Hub. Coincidentally HBD Hub is celebrating its 50th anniversary and they have this really cool tiles thingy on the wall..and everytime we passed there, there are people looking at it..analysing the tiles...
Our first shopping place is Ion and to be honest, I cant afford to shop there. Can only window shopping. SH brought us to window shop at LV, Burberry, Gucci etc... Right now..not possible. I hope it is possible to really shop there in the future. :p
Lunch is... Nothing special lo. The next day, instead of shopping at Orchard Road - we did some shopping at Orchard Road the night before, we went to Woodlands and Boon Lay to shop. The items on sale actually look more affordable but... I didn't went all crazy la. Btw, we had Mos Burger for brunch. I think it is safe to say that we shopped till we drop at Boon Lay. My hands actually hurt from carrying all the shopping bags. SH treated us dinner at Ding Tai Fung - which I remember that last time I went to Singapore, I sampled its xiao long baos and chicken soup. Refer here. This time, I got to sample more dishes. Hehe... Erm... The final day, we went to Orchard Road again to see if we can shop for more stuff. Our flight is at night so... no hurry. We even arrived at the airport earlier than expected so we went to have dinner at Sakae Teppanyaki. Not bad... I think I had my first taste of foie gras. :p The chawa mushi is cooked in big onion skin... kind of cool. :p

Got off early from work last Friday. Early break for Chinese New Year. Spent the time decorating the wall. Tada~!! Hopefully I can get more pictures to stick on... Case this is just the first batch.

The Power Lunch at Starbucks...Since we got the Cow Year keychain, we simply must have the Tiger Year keychain as well. Oh no... will this lead to many more years of keychains~?
I have been online-ing from my bed for many nights already. Seems more comfortable than sitting downstairs... And I develop a liking to wear pyjamas... Maybe I should get a complete set of pyjamas when there is a sale.
My mum's latest project...letter holder thingy... The striped one is mine and the material is the same with my sleeping pants. Sweat.

I think this is my first time to have BBQ two days in a row. The chicken wings are super yummy~~!!!
It was a last minute decision... er..no, should be a sudden decision. I didn't expect myself to be going to such a place. But I did. Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort. Kind of fun there. Unexpectedly relaxing and I cant believe that I sweated so easily when we did the jungle trekking. The sweats just kept dripping down. Whoa~! Then then... the ducklings following this mother duck around is so cute~~!!! Sorry...Reading a manga while writing this blog so I am a bit weird... Ah~! I only put my feet pic in here 'cause the thingy on my lower lips has not recovered yet.
Before stepping into the new year, us cousins (the ones in Miri) went out to Citrus to eat... talk...drink..

Perth Trip Part 4

07.11.2009 - That day, we went to Fremantle again. CLC was not feeling well the day before but he is better on that day...We had a little funny moment at the parking lot. :p Erm...I often hear from yuanz about Fremantle. About the fish and chips. When we arrived there, we went to the market first. Laura and I splurged on some fridge magnets there. I love the gecko magnet. Want to see the gecko magnet? Come see it at my house la. Anyways... initially we are supposed to try the crepe suzette at the market but we were too full. Then, we got a call from Fiona so... we went to get a crepe suzette to share. Yummy~ I love the sugar and cinnamon combination.

Right after the crepe suzette, we went to Cicerello's for the fish and chips. It is actually just so-so. It was interesting to watch the seagulls dived in for the leftovers. After lunch, we actually wanted to go to Fremantle Prison but changed our plant to do gardening at CLC's backyard. We joked that there might be snake in the backyard. All was fun till I saw a snake-like head in the grass...

Say hello to Mr. Bobtail. It is something like a lizard. Scared all of us..but it is really harmless. Phew...

My hands shakes so much after that. Partly from the shock and mostly because of the gardening. It has been so long since I have done gardening so... to suddenly do so much. My hands just kept shaking.

For dinner, we drove all the way to Mundaring to eat at Little Caesar's - the one we missed on Tuesday.

Quite cold to sit outside and I was wearing short pants. But when the pizzas arrived, not cold anymore la... Hehe... Great pizzas.

08.11.2009 - Final day. We were to leave Perth that night. We went for another round of Dim Sum breakfast. Everything is quite yummy till we ate the fried milk...the last item. Yuck~ It is quite unique. Tasty to those who like it.

We had another round of shopping at Harbor Town but there wasn't much to see anymore. So we were done with the shopping pretty quickly... Then, it was goodbye, Perth City. Took a few pics while the car was moving... Perth Eye and... Bell Tower, I think. Then, we had another round of soft serves...sat on the grass by the river (?) watching people with their water sports... For dinner, it is Chinese style... We had the huge crab...I forgot the name. :p After that... airport. Byebye, Perth~!

09.11.2009 - We arrived early morning at Singapore. Waited for a few hours... Dozed off at the airport. Super sleepy.

By noon, we were back in Miri. Long trip. I didn't get to rest till night time. Had to become my mum's driver.

Muahaha... done~!!
