J-Drama? K-Drama?

I think people is such a funny creature. I am refering to myself specifically. When I was working very hard during peak period, I promised myself that I will watch the k-drama that Jac lent me and also the hongkie drama that I have gotten Chinos to burn for me long ago.



But instead.... ever since I had my new laptop and the introduction of veoh by jinnwei, I have been downloading k-drama and j-drama to watch. Actually, it has been more like downloading like crazy but didnt really watch much.

I was originally attracted to this k-drama, Mawang aka The Devil, which is acted by my favourite actor, Joo Ji Hoon. After a few episodes, Hling got me the dvd from the chinese lady seller. I watched the final episode. I am that impatient. And ever since then, I have not been watching this series but I am still in the progress of downloading the version with english subtitle. Since I have started downloading a few episodes, I thought might as well download the whole thing and burn it into a dvd and save it for future entertainment. :P

Then, at the same time, I was also attracted to this k-drama, Witch Yoo Hee aka Witch Amusement. It is a very light-hearted and funny drama. Erm... Actually, I enjoyed the beginning of the drama but not so sure about the ending because I sort of stopped watching it. :P

Why did I stopped watching Witch Yoo Hee? Because I was attracted by another K-drama, The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince. Muahaha.... I am currently still watching and waiting for this drama because the drama is still showing and filming in Korea and english subtitle requires time to come out in veoh. Since Coffee Prince requires time to be available for downloading, I diverted my attention to this J-Drama, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e aka Hana Kimi aka Japanese version of Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu. One thing I like about J-Drama is that they are not fussy at all. They get straight to the point without being so lo-so about everything. I did try to watch the Taiwanese version and found myself so disgusted and sick of the lo-so-ness within 5 minutes of the show that I stopped immediately. After immersing myself into the world of K-drama and J-drama, I found myself blurting out bits and pieces of Korean and Japanese words in my daily life. Cham lo.... Nan Da Yo?!

On a different issue, I went to watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Joanna and Ms Wee. I enjoyed it despite of several negative response from friends. And i found myself impatient to know the ending to this Harry Potter epic so I actually got to know the whole story from Kim. Hehe...

Which brings me to another point that is I found myself being really impatient recently. I cannot stand waiting for a long time and easily get irritated and rather give it up then wait for any longer. Dont think this is a good habit. Sigh...

My love for food

I have been on a food trip.. One food after another...Wonder if I have gained a lot of weight. I dont want to stand on scale and see my weight increase again. Serves me right if it does.

Firstly, I have two outings with cousins at Siamese Secrets and Shiki. Since lynnx01 has written about it, I can save my time and brain juice. Hehe...

Since JWei is back at home and I dont cook at home, we go out for food.

Pork Liver Soup & Buttery Prawn Omelette Rice

We had the Pork Liver Soup at Riam Willow Cafe with Dry Pok Mee. It has a lot of ginger in it but it was ok. The Buttery Prawn Omelette Rice is from Double Star. It has seaweed pieces sprinkled on it. The prawns are of a decent size so it is pretty good.

On Friday night, I went to Imperial Hotel with the geng for the July Ocean Gem buffet. This buffet is the first buffet I felt that I have truly went thru everything on display, eaten all that I want without feeling too full. I did feel very full after that though.

Hehe... Has another session of cam-whoring one night. It has been a long time since I have taken pics of myself.

Recently I am very interested in K-Drama. Been trying to watch three dramas at once. Mawang, Witch Yoo Hee and 1st Shop of Coffee Prince. Not only that, watched a K-movie called 200 pound Beauty. A funny, romantic and inspirational movie. No, not influential enough to make me want to get plastic surgery.

Going to have another buffet this Sunday. Cant wait.

Havent been posting anything recently. Still pretty moodless. Too much things to worry about.


So, to release the moodiness, I watched a few anime on Animax.



One, God(?) Save Our King which is about a boy, Yuri Shibuya, who is actually the Demon King for the Demon World which exist on a different dimension than earth aka the real world. Anyways, the anime is sort of gayish 'cause the fiance of the King is actually a guy. Otherwise, it is a good anime. Just that one disturbing point. I wonder how it made it thru the Malaysian Censorship Board. Could it be because the anime itself never mention about it being gay?

Two, Dr. Black Jack. This cool genius doctor is always asking for ridiculous amount of money if someone seeks for his help, regardless of the fact that he doesnt have a medical license. But, he is actually very kind. Just that, he doesnt want to benefit those with lots of money and no sense of respect for others. Love this. A little suprised to know that Jeng also watch this. Haha~

Received my CPA 104 Strategic Management Accounting materials already. Which signifies another round of studying. Anxiety. I dont want to panic and do last minute studying anymore.

Asked Dancing Queen about how much will it cost to join the health club at Marriott. Not surprisingly, it costs RM2500 for the registration plus one year membership, if pay at one go. This equals to RM208 a month. Hmm...it is even more expensive than jinnwei's initial gym plan of RM200. Still contemplating whether to go for it or not. Give it time till after peak period at the office lah.

A chilling reminder of how short life can be when I saw the live news of the death of Xu Wei Lun. The news reminded me of the accident Decembers ago. Got to be careful when driving on the road. So, got to be careful driving at the roundabout at Boulevard. That is one dangerous place, especially at night, due to the construction of the fly-over.

Hmmm... this post turns out longer than I expected. I will be leaving for KL tomorrow night. I hope to be able to have lots of fun and relax enough to start working like a mad robot. Expect lots of pictures 'cause I have my v3i in good condition this time.

Alas...

Like I said in my very recent previous post, I was really busy and tired. But at the same time, I got addicted to watch a Korean series called 'My Girl'. So addicted that I went to get the DVD of it. Note that I dont have a DVD player at home. Which reminds me of something...

Some time not long ago, when I was hanging out with friends, a friend laughed about not having DVD player or VCD player at home as if everyone should have one. I kept quiet. I dont have any of those at home. So not funny. I have an ancient video tape player which I dont think still works and an Astro decoder which I depends on for entertainment.



Anyway, I dig the skinny guy in black in the pic. Needless to say, I find him cute and magnetic... Haha...The girl and the other guy are the main characters in the series. It was shown on 8tv and prior to the final episode, I bought the DVD because I just cant stand the suspense anymore. Somemore, 8tv censored all the kissing scenes which I think is totally unnecessary. Oh! Just in case you are wondering why I bought the DVD even though I dont have a DVD player, I used yuanz's laptop...


Anyway, I have also spent a lot of time playing Neoquest a lot since Yuanz left his laptop in Miri. So basically I have a quick connection and a good laptop to feel comfortable surfing the net without feeling frustrated of the speed of the pc. Then when he took the laptop back to Brunei, I just dont feel like using this old pc. It is SO slow!

Subconsciously Berpuasa

Should be going to play badminton this morning but I dont feel like going out at all when I woke up at 900am this morning. When I want to find something to eat, I dont want to eat instant noodle so I didnt eat. Instead I just drink the white grape juice with aloe vera and went online to play neoquest. Then, I drank another cup of grape juice for lunch... Fell alsleep on the sofa at 3pm till 6pm...

Usually I cannot stand not eating anything so not eating anything is a total amazement... Perhaps I should try again tomorrow and then see if I can lose some fats. Hehe... I know it is unhealthy though...But let's treat this as de-toxifying my body.... Only drink liquid....

Went out to a Mooncake Festival stalls at Boulevard with Karen, Laura and Kelvin. Then I 'berbuka puasa'...which reminds me that I have not been to the Ramaddan stalls since it started. Hmm...I want to eat sambal stingrays...Anyway, Thomas came much later and we all went to Bintang Plaza to watch Rob-B-Hood, Jackie Chan latest movie.

In the movie, Jackie Chan is a ever-losing gambler and Louis Koo is a playboy. Together, they teamed up with their landlord to steal from the rich. They are commissioned to kidnap a baby boy and when they (Jackie and Louis) failed to give the baby to the people who commissioned them, they have to take care of the baby. In the end, they saved the baby from near-death (the bad guy tried to kill the baby) and went to jail due to kidnapping. The family of the baby then employ them and it was a happy ending.

The movie has a few of guest celebraties. A lot of funny scenes as well as 'scary' moments. The baby is so cute. So so cute!!

Indulging in Golden Pot and scared to (almost) death

Went to Golden Pot to celebrate Karen's birthday... Ordered the seafood, beef and lamb with vegetable set and regretted it because it is such a huge set. Nevertheless, it was delicious. Yum!

After makan, we went to watch a movie...A Thailand movie called "Ghost Game." It is so scary le... I dun think I ever want to watch a scary movie anymore.

Only until this morning that I searched thru the internet for this movie. And I discovered that this movie has actually caused such an issue at Thailand and Cambodia...

Anyway... after the movie, we went Island. Havent been there for quite a while. I think I got a bit drunk-ish. After a glass of Long Island Ice Tea, one shoot of Illusion and a few shoots of Margarita, Karen and I went to Balcony to look around. After the look around, we cruised around the area and even saw some high-class prostitutes (yupe! we did. One of them even danced to attract attention)

After that, we went to Esplanade and I went home. I think I have developed rashes again for the alcohol I drank last night. :P

Going to watch this drag race today with Karen. I hope I dun get sun burn though.

Argh

Firstly...I am pissed off because I cant seems to view my own blog...Sigh...

Secondly...I saw something that made me really confused and frustrated. Which then lead to me to be really moody the next day (Thursday). I really felt like screaming my head off and curse whoever who stepped on my tail. I was so frustrated that I had my lunch with Mum and Dad 'cause I know they will not ask me anything. After lunch, I still felt really moody that it started to affect my work as well. At one point, I felt really frustrated that I was dizzy and ready to vomit whatever that might still be left in the stomach.

Left early that day 'cause had a date with Jeng. We had dinner, watch the Davinci Code and had a drink at CoffeeBean. Had a really long chat...refresh our memories...gossiping...

I felt much better today... Another feeling affect me today. The feeling of being left out...The feeling of unable to mix in...

Is it really just stress that really got to me?

Selamat Hari Gawai

As expected, I will be working on Gawai Day. No surprise.

However, due to lack of sleep and stress at work, I find myself getting weaker. Health worsen. Today, after feeling completely moodless, I was so pissed off regarding my assignment that I felt dizzy and nauseous. That was how pissed off I was. Then, it surprises me that I can find food to be unappetising nowadays but I still managed to get more fats...Yes, indeed, I think I am getting fatter. Honestly, I am staring at my legs now and they are huge...layers of fat!

Ok, this must be very boring la...Better stop...

Anyways, watched X-Men 3 just now. A last minute decision. Actually planned to go home to have an early night off but found myself at the cineplex to watch a movie. Judging from the clock now, I think I will once again sleep at 1am...At least I dont have the obligation to wake up and go to work at 8...Can sleep in a little longer...Haha...

The movie is good. I enjoyed it. I think because I watched the previous two instalments, the movie make sense to me. Something like I know the characters and so I know what is going on. But I think watching the movie without watching the previous two instalments, one should be able to connect the story la...Crapping now...

Time to sign off...Gone is my wish to have an early night...

Poseidon

Currently facing a really hard time completing an assignment. Will continue to work hard to complete it though.

Anyway, watched Poseidon just now.

It is about a cruise ship being hit by a huge wave (something like tsunami) and then sunk. These few people tried to find their way out while the rest of the (at first) survived passengers continued to stay at the ballroom and then died because the water pressure caused the whole place to flood. The few people went through a whole lots of nerve-wrecking obstacles to finally making it out of the cruise ship.

The movie is good to watch. The actions are enough to make me squirm in my seat. Just one thing. There is so little time and yet there is enough time for them to do all those mushy-mushy conversation. They have not much time before the water gets to them adn drown them adn yet they managed to talk so much crap like say u love me and all that. Why cant they just get with the program and quickly get it thru with?!

Anyway..really enjoyed it la...I got to watch from the second front row of Cine 1. Not bad. I think it was more fun watching from such a short distance.

On another occasion, this week lunch highlight is Fratini's. Had Spiral with eggplant and Seafood pizza. I was so full till I wasnt hungry till 9.30pm that day...

Was ill on Monday. Stayed home sleeping the whole day. How I wish grandma is here. I remember the time when I had food-poisoning, she specially came over to cook porridge for me. She reminded me to drink more water and to eat my medicine. I miss her so much.

Mission Impossible 3

Went to watch M:i:III on Saturday night.

Before the movie, we were contemplating whether to watch the 8.00 or 9.15pm. Finally, we watched the 8.00pm but was a little late entering the cineroom to watch the movie.

Like the previous Mi movies, they just got to have the drop-to-the-roof scene. But this time, they cut out the inside-the-enemy-territory-building scene so you dont know how he get the very-hard-to-steal 'rabbit foot.'

Tom Cruise is really in a very good shape at his age. Good-looking...But somehow, I dont want to see him in another Mission Impossible movie and I dont know why. And doesnt he always wear the almost identical style of clothes? Maybe I am just confused.

Really enjoyed the movie. And Maggie Q is super skinny....

After the movie, we went to drink at Al Fresco. Just usual chatting and laughing.

Sunday is rather boring. I had two instant mee-in-the-cups and really bored for the whole day.

Final Destination 3

Karen and I actually wanted to watch Date Movie as planned but we didnt because we were told that a lot of scenes are cut off and the movie is less than one hour and a half?

Anyway, we went to watch Final Destination 3 with Laura, Josephine, ChiIng, Kelvin and Mr Wee. I went in to the cineplex knowing that it is going to be a movie about death.

The death scenes are whoa. This time, they can predict how they will die from the pictures that they have taken earlier in the fun fair.

If I am ever going to be given chance where I can see how I die and choose whether to escape it or not, I will still go one with it regardless if it will cause my death. Simply because I dont want to go over all those emotional breakdown because people around me starting to die because they escape from death due to me and then find myself facing death once again. Sheesh! So pointless to escape in the first place.

After the movie, we (except for Mr Wee) went to drink and dine at Al Fresco. The fried squids I ordered was good except that I didnt put the lemon cause i didnt see till the fried squids only left three pieces...damn!

We chatted and laughed...Then, Karen sent ChiIng home while the rest of us were with Kelvin. After sending Josephine home, we used the old road to go back to town.

It was truly scary to see that we cant see anything when the car headlights are switched off. And I once again discovered that I am not used to sitting at the back of the car anymore. I will feel dizzy. But before going to my car, we went for a joyride...to have a look at the new location of Siam Thai Bar...

After i sent Laura home, I arrived home to call jinnwei...

Hmm..nvr imagine that I can talk so much to jinnwei. He will be back soon in Miri. Need to think of giving him pocket money so that mum and dad no need to worry about this aspect.

Fun with Dick and Jane

Had a bit of problem with my stomach today. Feeling too hungry (lol).

After a hearty dinner and a shower, I went back to the office to work overtime. At 10pm, Karen, Thomas and I went to Parkson to get movie tickets to watch Fun with Dick and Jane.

The movie wasnt too bad. I was curious to see that they portrayed the movie in year 2000. The whole movie is about a couple who tries to get enough money to get their lives back after they lost their jobs and not having any money left.
Surprisingly they didnt get caught for their crimes but had a happy ending. Is it just luck that they get to get away with their crimes (robbing ppl)?
Anyways, the scenes are funny in a Jim Carrey way. He is indeed amazing with his facial movement and body movements....
Finally at the end of the movie, I understand why they potrayed the movie in year 2000. They wanted to show that the friend or was it the obnoxious neighbour of Dick and Jane worked in Enron which eventually went bankrupt due to the unethical shifting of losses to Special Purpose Groups (i cant remember whether this SPG is correct or not)....
This movie is reflecting on corporate governance which is the unit I am taking for my CPA now..

Damn! I still have a lot more to study and I dont have much time...

Initial D

On wednesday, my colleagues went to watch initial D...They got the free tickets to watch it...whoa....

their verdict of the movie is that it is funny....a bit unrealistic but what can one say, the movie is inspired from a manga (manga...corect ka?)..nevertheless, i still want to watch it...

Really want to watch the manga (once again, is manga the correct word?)...watch a bit of initial D the manga at my aunt's house the other day on chinese new year eve....sort fo attracted to it.really want to watch the whole thing...but ... sigh...

I went to watch this movie today. Enjoyed the movie. Not bad o. Below are two scenes that can be seen in the movie and the lines that they said. Haha...I just happen to remember the lines... :p



"Welcome to my life" as he blew smokes into the glass...suffocating the spider with smoke. Dun worry. The spider is alive as the main actress releases it minutes later...


"Holy water...?!" A cross was dropped into the water tank so that the water will become holy water. Then, Keanu Reeves burn the water sprinkler so that the holy water will shower the demon-possessed human to reveal their true self. As you can see from the pic, the girl's face is showing signs of demon. hoho...

A movie worth watching indeed.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

This movie came out in 1999. A really old movie that really has made it big. TV3 has been showing it at least three times for i have (tried) to watch it three times.

It starts when this guy (above) came to this girl's house to learn music as this girl's dad is a really great musician. Then, this girl fell in love with this guy. But because this guy is not a pure Indian (hmmm...not true though. The actor is really an Indian), therefore they are not given blessing and the guy was chased out of the girl's house. The girl's dad get another guy (below) as his girl's husband.

The husband finally knows that the wife is in love with someone else and brought her to Italy to reunite her with her love despite of his family's protest. In the process of searching for the girl's love, the girl found his husband to be so understanding and considerate. Finally, the time has arrived. The girl finally met her love. But, there is no more love. The girl has fallen out of love with her old love. She is now truly in love with her own husband. The first guy gave his blessing. The girl goes back to her husband. The end...

Ok...Dont go thinking that I love to watch Hindi movie. I just happened to watch this movie (only the first hour) a few years ago and watched the same part again last year. Very frustrating as I find the plot and the scenery in the movie are so fascinating and I cant seems to finish watching the movie. The sceneries are at the really cool looking palace and then Italy (Ooo....).Even this time, I have not watched the whole movie as I was out to fetch people to tuition and stuff. Thankfully I was able to watch the ending this time. Phew...
