Freshly-washed Hair

I love the feel of my hair at the moment. It is so smooth and silky and best of all, it is clean. Went to get a hair wash just now. I love the lady for being able to blow dry my hair to a lovely tidiness.

Anyways... Currently also sufferring from flu and possibly cough. Didnt drink enough water for the past few days and also sleeping at ungodly hours as well. My body decided to protest.

The past few days has been an awesome gastronomical holiday.

Basically, just eat eat eat and eat. All the eating has caused my weight and waistline to increase. Cham!

Cousins Night(s) Out

Erm... For the past two days, I have been eating and drinking... Like really eat and drink. Erm... Without a doubt, my waistline and my weight will increase. Darn...

Anyways... With the remaining 8 of 13 cousins, we, eight people, decided to go to eat steamboat. Initially, we were thinking of going to eat at Micheal Steamboat but decided not to for two main reasons: heard that it isnt good anymore and that the place doesnt have any air conditioning. We are all candle girls, will melt one. So, we went to Sun City Shabu Shabu instead.

Group C is the most complete group and they occupied one table by themselves. Dont see these little girls skinny skinny like that. They can really eat. Hebatz, yea! Meanwhile, Group A and B were suffering from missing members so we shared a table.

P/s: In my family, the kids are divided into three groups: Group A, B and C. A being the eldest 5, B is the middle 4 and C is the youngest 4. End of explanation

So...As we are waiting for our food to arrive. We did a lot of cam-whoring. Below is just an example. I am sure the rest of us will be posting about this. Hehe... should I also mention that almost every cousins are bloggers?

Err... I shall move on to the second night. Friday night. Four of the girls went to tuition while the other four go eat at Citrus. Hehe...

Err... Hehe... We shared the Seafood SoupBread, Shepherd Pie, Linguine Carbonara and Pegasus Wings. Yummy. So yummy....

That is us getting ready to dig into the pie. Then, we ordered a dessert - Chocolate Fondue. As we waited for the arrival of our dessert, we started to cam-whore again.

Citrus!!

Yea! Finally got the pics to post. Hehe...So..anyways, because it was first time, we sat at Table No. 1. Just to mark the occasion. Ok, not true. Just happen to sit there la.

I had the chicken chop with mushroom sauce. I haven't poured the mushroom sauce so there isn't any sauce on the chicken chop in the pic but let me tell you this. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SAUCE because... it has three types of mushrooms in it and one of the mushrooms is enokitake!! My favourite. Muahaha... :p

Then, we shared the Calamari Fritti...which was a bit of disappointment. One is because I prefer the calamari to be a bit at the chewy juicy texture than the crunchy texture. Two is because the wasabi mayo sauce is bitter. Sweat. But I am sure they will improve it!

Then... Dessert... The couple shared the Honey Mudslide. I like the way the food is displayed.

Today is a weird day... I seems to have a lot to do and yet there seems to be too much time.

Truthfully, I want to sit at the sofa and watch tv. But there isnt anything to watch. And it is not because there isnt any interesting program on tv. It is because I am still 'astro-less'

I dislike the talk about why arent I getting a astro set myself. Why should I? Dont even get me started on why I dont have an Astro set. Anyways, it is my way of silent protest. So, hush!

Anyways... I wanted to post the pics from my first visit to Citrus but then... I dont have all the pics. Should have brought a digicam to take pics but I dont have the digicam with me now. :p

So..instead of posting what I had on the 'first time', I shall post what I ate on my second time. Today's lunch...

Black Pepper Seafood Pasta

Since I am a spicy food eater, I managed to gobble up half of the pasta before pepperly spicy-ness gets too much for me. I guess they will tone down the spicy-ness... Cause I gave feedback to the owner about the food so the food will improve.

Anyways... the reason why I am addicted to this song right now is because...

Well, you guys should know that I am trying to pick up Japanese and Korean from watching dramas. Hehe... And at that time, I just learn the word 'Doushite' from LingDi. Btw, Doushite means Why. Then, when I heard the preview of this "Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattandarou?", I realised that the first word sung is "Doushite" and I thought "What a coincidence! I just learnt this word."

Another reason, which is just as lame as the first one, is that the song name is so long. "Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattandarou?" Long, right? So, it is so difficult to sing just this one sentence. Sherp and I are still trying to finish singing this whole sentence. I hope that I can sing it well by the time Sherp come back from her KL trip. And by 'it', I mean that particular sentence, not the whole song. Sweat.

I am actually "with internet" for the last few days. But I was...busy. Muahaha...

Erm... Sherp, Veep and parents are in Miri...and Sherp has been my roomie for a few nights already. We had been makan-ing too. Yummy yummy....

There is also a morning when we (lynnwei, Sherp and I) went to Taman Selera to enjoy the sea breeze and view.

Ah... Have got to congrats Lynna for winning the tennis competition...and then also Abelle for her effort in the competition. And then, I just want to show this pic. 'Cause I think it looks really nice. Last but not least, Happy belated Birthday to Sherp!

Fried

The router is fried. gone. no more. dead.

All due to the lightning early this morning. About 5am.

The thunder was so loud that it woke me up, tripped the electricity, caused the cars' alarm to go off like crazy.

I think my laptop is still ok. I am not sure if there is any side effect to the laptop.

Ah! The long overdue pics from my dining experience at Fratini... I went some time ago and tried out something different. Err...ok, not all different. My secret friend and I had the Fried Calamari, Bruschetta and I-forgot-the-name-pasta. It was very fiilling... Hehe...Then...this morning.... there are these doughnuts from KK.... I had the strawberry one. Yum yum... Not forgetting the really cold Honey Sea Coconut that I had with Lynnwei and Jasmine this afternoon. Weather has been very warm these days. It was so refreshing to eat ice...

Before that, I just want to say how much I love googletalk 'cause it saves all the chat that I had in my mail box so I can look it at whenever I want to... Hehe... Once upon a time

Alamak! no la.. Not telling a story la...
Just want to show something..something that I discovered today...

First of all, for the past half year (I think), I have been carrying these two items in my work bag. Essential. Especially that bottle of ointment. Then... I increased the essential items to this.
in just two weeks time. I bought the Lip Therapy because I thought it is quite cheap and then I bought the eye-mo 'cause I felt my eyes are very dry and then I bought the Counterpain because of my back pain and then today, I bought the Vitamin E moisturizing gel because it is buy one free one and the bottle looks so cute...

Everything was scattered on my working table together with my pens, pencil, highlighter and blanco. It was a mess.

Still not sleeping yet. Damn...

Never Ever

Ah! Ever heard of the song, Never Ever, by All Saints? Heard it in Kelvin's car the other day and decided to get it to listen to again... So nostalgic... Just researched on it to find out that it was released in 1998 (July)...almost ten years old now. Oh gosh...

Errr... I just want to show this... My not very new but still quite new keyboard... Another computer accessories donated by my brother, JWei... He bought a new one and gave me this old but still quite new keyboard... which means... I no longer use the laptop keyboard...which also means that I have less space on the table... which also means that I should consider changing my mouse to a white one because I want to match my computer stuff colour to become all white. White lining on laptop (so technically it is a white laptop), white keyboard, white speakers and...err... black mouse. Aiks... white mouse, where can I find you?

The speakers... the bad ass speakers... hehe... I just want to use the word 'bad ass'.. Forgive me... I am going a bit insane 'cause of the stress... Anyways... Altec Lansing speakers... which JWei bought and then brought back to Miri 'cause he finished his A-Level and then couldnt bring over again to KL when he went to study again... Sort of donated to me although I think he will attempt to bring this heavy speakers to KL again because he will be there for a few more years... Hmm...Till then, I am enjoying the usage of the speakers...

Ah! One thing that I keep thinking recently is that why is that the dentist have to use mouth mask when they are treating patients? I am not sure if I remembering it correctly or the image of a dentist is so stereotyped in my head that they are wearing mouth mask... Anyways...then it got me thinking that the ladies who do facial wash at beauty centre also use mouth mask le... So, I came up with a few reasons lor...

Dentist wear mouth mask because one, they don't have to smell the bad breath of patient, two is they can hide their grimace or disgust at the sight of a very horrible teeth (providing that the mask has good coverage of the face), and three is .... I will say this later...

Beautician wear mask...because one is also to hide their expression... gosh..mask is such a good way to hide expression... and two is... the same answer as the third reason for dentist...

The patient/client will not feel threaten or offended. How is this so? Eh... The dentist and beautician have to bend down and stare at your mouth and face... Close distance... Damn paise, can... You can see them looking at you... and it so uncomfortable...Imagine if they are not wearing mask and they breath slightly heavier than usual, ewww...can actually feel their breath on your face... Ewwwwww.....

Working on a Sunday morning

I am currently in the office... Working. WORKING.

Weird..this year, I dont have the 'rush' feeling... I am taking everything slow... And it is not good... Not kidding... Even now, as I am doing my work on a SUNDAY morning, I am taking it slow...

Erm..In case you think I am not working and typing this post leisurely, you are (sort of) wrong. 'Cause I am actually typing sentence by sentence and the interval between each sentence is about a few minutes long... Get it? Type a bit, work a lot..type a bit, work a lot...

Erm... Starting to get a hang of working... into the mood liaw...Haha....

Bah... Btw, Happy Dumpling Day!

Alas... I went to try the Korean food in Miri... I do believe it is the one and only Korean restaurant and it is simply known as 'Korean Restaurant'.

Presenting the glutton, myself, Gohyie. I actually didnt want to take any picture of myself... I feel as if I have bloated since my buffet extravaganza and then the most recent crabbing experience (last night. But I didnt take any pictorial evidence). But... decided to take a pic anyways to see if there is a slight chance of me showing some result to Mum at the end of this month.Darn...

And... my accomplice, LingDi.We even wore same colour shirt to go....Macam uniform, you know. We arrived at the restaurant quite early...as in quite early for a normal Miriam's dinner time but totally normal for our family. In fact, it was getting late for our dinner. There was no other customer but us from the start till the end of our dinner... And we just treat the place like it was our own. Taking pics of food, eat, and talk....

We ordered bul-go-gi, kimchi bo-kum-bab, and ra-myon. Then, they also served us with side dishes (which I found out later in the bill that we are actually charged for it. Sweat... So this is like a compulsory expense lor).

The food that we ordered as described by the menu:-

• Bul-go-gi is thinly-sliced choice beef stir fried in special blend of oriental sauce and spices.
  
• Kimchi bo-kum-bab is fried rice seasoned with soured kimchi and various ground meat and vegetables.


• Ra-myon is thin noodles in hot soup with its spices originally from Korea.

Verdict... The bul-go-gi is quite nice. Me like it. The kimchi bo-kum-bab is also very nice. Dont mind having the whole plate myself. The side dishes are interesting... but we didn't finish the kimchi. Too much. The only disappointment is the ra-myon. It tastes just like a normal instant noodle. The meal costs RM 69....After dinner, we went to Boulevard to walk around... Saw a really cute red wedges, unfortunately, that is the only pair and it is not my size. Phew! Otherwise, another RM 60 might be gone. We kept hearing a lot of commotion on the 3rd floor so we went up to investigate....
So, why are all these parents bring along their children queuing up for? They are there to see one person and the person is Mr. Ultraman Max.... Err... I only know who is Ultraman and even that Ultraman I know vaguely of. This Ultraman Max, I don't know la... But if I am willing to spend some money to buy his cd, I can also queue up and take pic with him. Err... No need la. Thanks!

Remedy for Heaty People

Ah! Been travelling a lot? Not drinking enough water? Chapped lips? Feeling sick? Getting too much body 'heat'?
Introducing a remedy for people with 'heat' problem. This remedy has been used by my family for quite some time. Just add two sachets into lukewarm water (warm o! Not hot o!) and then drink it. Once a day is good enough. If you are already ill, drink twice a day, two sachets a time.

It doesnt taste bitter. Sweet in fact. Other brand, I am not sure la. But this one is definitely not bitter. Really ok.

Abuthen, if it doesnt work for you, don't come to me to complain. Different people has different reaction to stuff, you know. It works for me and my family but possibly doesnt work for you le...Dont blame me.

My new workstation

I have a new workstation at home. The dining table. Ever since JWei is back in Miri, I have to give up the table and moved to the dining table....

Recently been suffering of headache again... Not having enough sleep also not helping the situation... In fact, I am so tired that I am currently having double eyelids (Yay!).

Gawai holidays is over... But I have been working during the holidays... Just in the morning. The afternoon, I am resting...
